Haytown Nursery School was established as a non-profit organization to ensure that all decisions involving the operation of the school and its curriculum remain focused on what is in the best interest for the children. 

The foundation of our philosophy is to provide a safe, loving, compassionate and mentally stimulating environment where children can grow intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. 

We strive to promote within our children:

• growth in their self esteem and confidence
• positive relationships with their peers and teachers
• a sense of cooperation
• coping skills
• an enthusiasm for learning

The walls to our foundation are built with a specialized curriculum that meets the needs of children within their own developmental spectrum and maturity level.  This creates:

• the intellectual growth of a young child
• an enthusiastic attitude for learning
• the development of basic skills for reading, writing, math and science

We believe that parents of children attending Haytown Nursery School should know the faces, personalities and value systems of those people who care for and teach their children.

Parents become familiar with the values of Haytown Nursery School the moment they walk their child inside our school. 

• Each day our school’s director will greet you and your child at the entrance of the school.
• Teachers eagerly await the arrival of your child at their classroom door, and children are met with a welcome hug each day.

We work very hard to establish free flowing communication between the family, our staff and our Board of Directors. Each month parents receive:

• a newsletter from the school’s director
• a letter from their child’s teacher’s

Parents have;

• access to observe activities in classrooms at any time
• full disclosure of teacher’s and the director’s home phone numbers
• the opportunity to request a conference with teachers to discuss their child’s progress or concerns
• mid-year parent teacher conferences

Creating a Sense of Community

We encourage our children to play on our playground before and after school.  Children gain positive interactions with their classmates, while parents can mingle and meet new friends in the community.
