REGISTRATION FOR 2013-2014

We are excited to be offering our programs for next year!!!  Once again, we will be doing an optional second day for the Terrific 2’s and 3’s.  We are offering optional lunch for the Younger Class and possibly extended hours.

Registration materials will be e-mailed and also distributed through the classrooms or by mail.  Registrations for current and alumni families are given priority until January 15th.  We will then take registrations until our classes are filled.  The $50 registration fee will be waived if you register on or before February 15th.  Details are available in the registration packet.

If you know of anyone interested in our school, please let me know and I’ll send them registration materials.

BIG JEFF CONCERT FOR ALL AND OPEN HOUSE FOR NEW FAMILIES

We are thrilled to be able to offer a Big Jeff concert to all our families and their friends on Friday, February 8th.  We are having Big Jeff in concert from 11:00 to 12:00 followed by and Open House for new families from 12:00 to 1:00.  Our children love Big Jeff, so I hope that you and your children can attend!  You are welcome to bring friends, too.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in our school, this is a great opportunity to have fun and visit us.

FUND RAISER – WINE TASTING AT HAWK POINTE

Sandy forced us to postpone our fundraiser to Saturday, February 2nd.  It promises to be a fun night of wine tasting, a sumptuous buffet, our silent auction, and raffle.  If you have already bought tickets, we can’t wait to see you!   If you weren’t available in November and can now come, stop by the office to get a ticket.  Because it is a country club, there is a dress code:  no jeans or sneakers or t-shirts – men need to be in collared shirts with a jacket and slacks.

CLASSROOM VISITATIONS

As was listed in our school calendar, the week for classroom visits is January 15, 16 and 17, 2013.  Sign-up sheets will be posted outside the classroom doors.  If you would like to visit your child’s classroom, this is the perfect opportunity.  While the slots are for an hour, don’t feel that you must stay the whole time.  Due to space constraints, we are asking that you don’t bring siblings.  By the way, sometimes your child will see you in the classroom and act quite differently than they do on other days at school.  Other times a child might ignore the parent’s presence and go about normal classroom activities – you never know.  Enjoy!!!

SCHOOL CLOSINGS AND INCLEMENT WEATHER

It’s tough trying to figure out whether or not to have a school closing due to inclement weather.  The neighboring public schools have not always agreed on what to do.  My decisions will be based on their decisions as well as a “guess” about what Mother Nature is going to do.  Because of transportation issues, I usually make the decision by about 7:00 a.m.  Hopefully, everyone will get their phone chain call fairly early.  Please remember that the final decision of whether or not to come to school is up to you.  Please remember that if the weather gets bad while your child is at Haytown, you can pick him/her up early.

PARENT READERS

If you would ever enjoy coming in and reading a book to your child’s class, please sign up on the list outside the classroom doors.  If that day or time doesn’t work for you, the teachers would be glad to set up an alternate time.  The reader can also be a grandparent or aunt or uncle or nanny…  We are happy to have them.

TUITION

January tuition is now due –   $360 for youngers without lunch; $452 for youngers with lunch; $478 for olders

Please let me know if there is ever a problem with paying the tuition; I would be glad to work out an alternate payment plan with you.

Looking forward to a fabulous 2013!!!!

Marge
